Friday night club sessions have all now permanently moved from the old 6:15pm start time to 7pm. This is due to England Squash setting up a Friday night racquetball session during our regular slot. Details will soon be released regarding Northern Rebound’s club trip to Budapest. Flights and accommodation are being researched so watch this space.
The tournament will take place on the weekend of September 9th to 11th. If you are planning on coming along on this trip it may be worth considering funds as the preparation time this year has been shorter than last year’s Stockholm trip. So payments will be required much quicker! Big congratulations to the Northern Rebound Annual award winners 2015. Best in shorts went to Darren Gallagher, while most dedicated went to Michael Mullany. Dan Kayley won most improved player while the biggy, Player of the year, went to Adrian Dziurzynski for a second time! Congrats to all.
The ball has started rolling with Northern Rebound’s entry into the 2016 Manchester Pride Parade. The club entered the 2014 parade and had a lot of fun! As the majority of members voted to do this again at last years AGM, the committee appointed Dan Kayley as head of the Parade organisation. He will be calling on you for assistance soon! The sub-committee is finalising plans to hold an open day in the next month or so.
A number of sessions will be open to all newcomers and particularly the promotion of the participation of more under represented groups. Dates to be confirmed soon. The new England Squash coach Josh has taken his first coaching session with Northern Rebound. Josh will be a monthly regular with us and his unique approach to training will ensure all players receive the right level of coaching to match their level and improve their skills. Welcome on board Josh!
